Answers.com defines science fiction as a popular modern branch of prose fiction
that explores the probable consequences of some improbable or impossible
transformation of the basic conditions of human (or intelligent non-human)
existence. This transformation need not be brought about by a technological
invention, but may involve some mutation of known biological or physical reality,
e.g. time travel, extraterrestrial invasion, ecological catastrophe. SciFiSoup
focuses on scifi movies throughout the ages, with a particular focus on science
fiction films containing apocalyptic themes and aliens.

SciFiSoup.com is dedicated to providing movie reviews of science fiction classics
from a modern perspective, as well as giving readers our opinion of upcoming
movies and overall science fiction movie eras.

Science Fiction Movie Reviews

Who writes for SciFi Soup?

My name is Julian Card. I’m a twenty-something individual who has recently
discovered a love for science fiction movies featuring post-apocalyptic
wastelands, aliens, crumbling societies, space-wars, and twisted visions of the
future. As a younger person, I wasn’t alive during the original golden-era of
science fiction movies, so you can imagine the joy I have now just realizing the
huge inventory of new and old sci-fi movies that I still have to watch. To find out

Haven't seen the classic science fiction
movies yet? Perfect! SciFiSoup.com delves
into the history of past science fiction films,
like Logan's Run, Soylent Green,
Bladerunner, and more! You have probably
seen hundreds of current TV shows and
movies reference these classics, and now
you will understand why!

It’s amazing how many amazing special effects it
would take to make a boring, uncreative movie
good. I say ‘would’ because even though this
remake of the classic scifi film had lots of beautiful
special effects, the movie was still dry and
predictable.
